The Fall Board meeting was hectic but helpful, and I have lots of information to share with you at the District meeting on September 27th in Sparta.
The call will be going out on August 27th. PLEASE let me know ASAP if you have any agenda items for me. Deadline: Wednesday, August 26th.
The District Handbook will be distributed at this meeting, so please make every effort to attend.
Also, each club president needs to provide me a copy of her club's handbook. If yours has already been published, please bring a copy for me to the District meeting. Otherwise, you may mail it to me at my home address (which, conveniently, is in the District and State handbooks).
A volunteer sign-up sheet for the South Eastern Region meeting in October will be circulated. I am counting on you good women to act as hostesses as Tennessee welcomes guests from several states.

About the HIghland Rim District
The Highland Rim District is comprised of nine GFWC Woman's Clubs throughout Middle Tennessee. The District was named for one of the major geological features of this region, the Highland Rim of the Cumberland Plateau.
Member clubs rotate hosting duties for the spring and fall District meetings. The fall meeting is usually organizational and informational while the spring meeting is devoted to the GFWC Short Story and Poetry Awards, and the Arts and Crafts competitions.
Terms of officers for the Highland Rim District mirror those for both the GFWC and the GFWC of Tennessee. Officers are elected and chairs are appointed for two year terms.
